Artist, storyteller, and painter, Alain Thomas born in 1942 in Nantes, France, began his career in the 1960s. He invites us on a journey into his contemporary world, ranging from exotic landscapes to the most beautiful Russian forests. The painter is recognized in the French art scene as the leader of “naïve-primitive” painting. Since 2003 he has created gastronomic experiences with the Haviland manufacturer, by applying masterpieces on porcelain. Different decorations combining flora and fauna are narrated on trays, vases, and table services composed of more than 15 colors. In the first table service collection, toucans and parrots bloom on porcelain pieces illuminated by a world of flowers and wilderness. The Maison Haviland demonstrates a perfect mastery of the pattern through an accurate reproduction of the works of the artist Alain Thomas. Together, they highlight an exceptional color palette and accentuate the details of the most beautiful paintings.
